“I am constantly searching for a balance between the immense passion I have for my work, and the compassion I feel towards the other wonderful people I work with. In the context of GBCC, I give my utmost towards making this case competition not just a present reality, but also a precedent for future years to build upon. Without strong leadership to keep us bound together, our objectives would certainly fall out of reach, but it is also a leader’s job to know when to have faith in their team’s abilities. Going forward, my sincere hope is that I can build upon the foundation already laid down by my upperclassmen and fellow students, and help GBCC further along its path towards a bright legacy here at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. And for all our guests, judges, and participants in attendance, my team promises to deliver nothing short of a successful and memorable experience.”

“Perseverance and honest ambition are what will steer Global Business Case Competition towards a vibrant future at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. It is through the successful implementation of this event that our university will be able to carve out an illustrious reputation for itself amongst the international community. Guided along by both my current hopes and past experiences, it is my goal to help cultivate the notoriety of the College of International Management, as well as beckon the world’s attention to our incredibly talented community of future business leaders that reside here in the modest city of Beppu. In order to see this vision become a reality, effective communication must be made with a wide variety of organizations and people; as a member of the Steering Committee, I will do my upmost best to oversee these connections and ensure the full realization of this event.”

“To be pushed to one’s own limits is an absolute essential for anyone seeking self-development. Progress is impossible without sacrifice, but to live without regret means to fully accept such sacrifices as necessary in order to ensure the future. I try my best in every possible moment; even if something happens to go wrong, I can always know that I’ve tried my hardest, and that life is full of second chances and opportunities to learn. In spite of any pressure and unavoidable issues that we as the Steering Committee may face, I will persist in order for our team to be proud of each and every decision that we make. Although tempers may flare and the pressure will rise from such struggles, it is these dealings that make for an invaluable learning experience for all of us — we simply must keep in mind that it is through hardship that we have the power to further shape ourselves as individuals.”
